THE FREEDOM WHEEL
Big ride experience, small footprint, and unmatched portability.
New Units Still Available for Delivery in the 2026 Season!
The Freedom Wheel, Explained
-
This wheel gives you options you simply don’t get with a traditional gondola wheel. The Freedom Wheel can be hauled by a semi or by a properly set-up pickup truck. That flexibility changes everything — easier logistics, lower transport costs, and the ability to say yes to events you’d normally have to pass on.
-
We engineered this wheel to operate in California — one of the most heavily scrutinized amusement environments in the country. If it can pass here, it can run anywhere. That means fewer headaches, smoother approvals, and a unit you can operate with real confidence.
-
This wasn’t a “looks good from here” build. The Freedom Wheel was inspected throughout the build process by multiple world-class welding inspectors. We also verified the consistency and metallurgy of the steel being used, so what’s on paper actually matches what’s on the road and on the midway.
-
At 42 feet long, the trailer footprint is about 11 feet shorter than most gondola wheels on the market. That difference matters — tighter midways, easier load-ins, and access to venues where space is limited but expectations are high.
-
Setup times are comparable to — and in many cases faster than — similar gondola wheels out there. New builds are currently running about 9 months from order to delivery, with three units available for delivery before the end of the 2026 season. Less waiting, more operating.

The Freedom Wheel is designed with flexibility in mind. The unit includes a bolt-on fifth-wheel extension, making it possible to tow with a properly equipped pickup truck — not just a semi.
With a pin weight of approximately 12.7 tons (25,353 lbs), most 4500–5500 class trucks are built to handle this load rating when set up correctly. To legally and safely tow the unit, a 30,000-lb–rated fifth wheel is required, along with aftermarket air brakes. In many states, trailers with a gross weight exceeding 10,000 lbs must be equipped with air brakes, and the Freedom Wheel is designed to accommodate that requirement.
Because of the overall weight, a CDL is still required to transport the unit — even in pickup mode. That said, the ability to move the wheel without a semi is a major advantage for many operators. For smaller companies, this flexibility reduces ownership costs, simplifies logistics, and removes the need to add a dedicated semi truck just to operate a gondola wheel.
